Well what a busy couple of years Daves had!  Especially with completing On The Level's 13 trk CD " Bottom of the Bottle " Drumming for Rick Steel & with The Dave Gillam Trio getting busier. Well then fasten your seatbelts as 2010  is ripe & yes Dave has more plans!  September 2009 saw the birth of yet another Gillam incarnation, Dave Hooked up with some of Perth's Best Know Country Rockers to form " The Loose Noose Band "November 2009 saw Dave finally start recording his 1st solo project, Due out Jan or feb 2010 featuring plenty of talented guests, produced by Bill Blissett this CD will be worth waiting for. . . .

November 09: The latest News is that, last year On The Level did a live dvd recording at the Perth Blues Club, well that went well, we sliced and diced it into a sort of promo package. We then sent it off to a few USA promoters and they loved our style of Australian Boogie, so much so they have stolen Dave "Tex" Bates away from us for a 3 month tour with a SUPER HOUSE BAND, playing with the likes of Dicky Betts, Warren Haynes & Bob Seager, they have just contacted our very own Dave Gillam and have said " Make sure your passport is in order" one can only presume that Dave could be off to join Tex in  the States for a guest spot perhaps?  Fingers crossed.
